David Golder, President

On June 8, 2007, as part of the installation of the Board of Directors, David Golder became Temple Jeremiah’s 19th President.

David is a lifelong member of the Temple Jeremiah community. He and his wife Carol live in Winnetka with their children Caitlin and Jacob.

As part of the volunteer leadership serving the Jeremiah community, David has worked on numerous committees and has served on the Board of Directors for the past eight years. Most recently he has held the position of Recording Secretary, and for the last three years he has been the Executive Vice President of the Board.

David is a graduate of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and has continued his post-graduate education at the University of Chicago. He is currently the Managing Partner of Golder Investment Management, LLC, managing private investment and philanthropic business operations.

In addition to his involvement at Temple Jeremiah, David also serves on the Board of Trustees of Drake University and the Board of Directors of the Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Foundation and also participates as a volunteer/mentor for Link Unlimited in Chicago and on committees for the Museum of Science and Industry and the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center

From David’s perspective . . . “I am thrilled to be able to continue our strong tradition of leadership at Temple Jeremiah. It is my hope that our community continues its active commitment to providing each of our congregants and families a chance to grow together. That growth can continue through their own personal spiritual journey, participating in education at every age, contributing to the broader community through acts of tikkun olam, social action and advocacy, and coming together as an extended family in support of those in need”.
