Welcome to Anna
Temple
Jeremiah welcomes Anna Purinson. She brings ten years of Jewish
program management and fundraising experience to Temple Jeremiah.
Anna served as Director of Hillel for Russia, overseeing development
at 21 Hillel student centers throughout the country. As a
doctor, she worked at the Rambam Medical Center in Moscow,
prior to which she coordinated medical programs in the St.
Petersburg Jewish community.
"Having worked as a Jewish community professional for
over 10 years I am extremely excited to be joining Temple
Jeremiah. What I learned about the temple inspires me. It
is more than just a temple, more than just a spiritual place
or a place for Jewish education. It is a community and a family,
and I am honored to be joining such a welcoming and warm family.
"In my position I work on the Partnership of Promise
Campaign to ensure Temple Jeremiah’s secure financial
future and continuous growth. I am involved in the strategic
planning and implementation of membership services, including
proactive engagement and welcoming of new members and working
with current members.
"Judaism and Jewish life mean a lot to me. I truly believe
in the value of caring for each other and being there for
each other. I also believe in togetherness and I can assure
you that I will work hard to help Temple Jeremiah grow stronger
and secure our future as a congregation and a community.
"I want you to know that my door will always be open
and that I will always be there for you. Please don’t
hesitate to come! And I just can’t wait to get to know
you – as a community and as wonderful and caring individuals."
A Note from Anna
It has been a great and exciting beginning of the new year
for me. I finally joined Temple Jeremiah as the Director of
Development and Membership services. The Partnership of Promise
Capital Campaign was finally made public. I finally got to
meet so many of you and received the warmest welcome possible.
And, I also finally got married – just a week before
Rosh Hashanah. What an amazing beginning of the year; a year
full of hopes and expectations.
Having launched the Partnership of Promise Capital Campaign,
Temple Jeremiah anticipates raising 5 million dollars. The
goal is to have the entire congregation participate in the
campaign aimed at ensuring a secure and bright future for
us as a congregation, community and a family. The campaign
is not just about financial support; it is also about involvement
and commitment. My hope is that this campaign will bring members
of Temple Jeremiah even closer to each other.
It is exciting that although the campaign was just unveiled,
great strides towards its success have already been made.
There is a strong, growing group of campaign leadership led
by Lori Andre. And it is just the very beginning!
I am wishing you a very happy and healthy new year. Shana
Tova U’metukah!
