Religious School is held in two sessions
on Sunday mornings:
9:00 - 10:45 am and
11:15 am - 1:00 pm
Seventh graders meet Monday or Wednesday
between 4:30 and 6:00 pm.
Eighth, ninth and tenth graders meet Sunday
at the 11:15 am session.
Children two years away from entering kindergarten
meet in our special Sunday
School program at 9:00 am.
The goal of our Religious School program is to have our children
identify themselves proudly and joyfully as Jews by teaching
them to understand the rich culture, history, ethics, beliefs,
and heritage of our religion and people. It is the desire
of Temple Jeremiah
to provide a meaningful Jewish education to every student
in our school. We want our children to learn in an environment
that is warm and our program to reflect the best of contemporary
pedagogy. It is our hope that Religious School is a place
where parents, students, and teachers work together to instill
a sense of caring and of community.
We are excited about the addition of the Chai Curriculum
to enrich our educational program. Chai is part of a national
project of the Union for Reform Judaism and an integral segment
of our second through seventh grade education.
