Merkaz Ivrit, an established institute for teaching conversational
Hebrew, will offer a 22-class series at Temple Jeremiah beginning
this fall. A variety of classes are offered for all levels
of proficiency, including for beginners.
Instructors are highly qualified and experienced and employ
exciting interactive methodology to encourage learning. Israeli
newspapers, videos, music and literature are used to integrate
Israeli cultural topics into Hebrew language learning.
The beginning course is designed for students with no prior
knowledge and introduces them to the foundation of the Hebrew
language. Students will learn the alphabet along with vowels
which facilitate reading at the introductory level. They will
also learn to recognize and write cursive Hebrew script and
will acquire some fundamental conversational skills.
