Top-touring musician Rick Recht brought his unique blend of Jewish music to Temple Jeremiah for a family concert.
Junior Choirs from Temple Jeremiah, Am Shalom and Congregation Solel joined Rick and his band on several selections. The concert was offered at no charge to the community.

He and his band present a unique blend of pop and radio-friendly music with Hebrew, Jewish text and social responsibility, playing over 125 concerts a year in the U.S. and abroad.
Purim Bacchanal Extravaganza
Temple Jeremiah offered an evening of Purim activities for everyone - ages 5 to 95! The evening's events included: Pasta Dinner; Games and Crafts for Young People; Study with Rabbi Cohen for Adults; Storytelling; Costume Contest (extra points for creativity!); Hamantaschen Contest; Megillah Reading and lots more.
Spring Music Festival - "All You Need is... Love!"
Cantor Amy Zussman was the special guest at this concert at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El in Highland Park. The community enjoyed a dynamic, 80-minute celebration in four languages of romantic love, as well as the love of Israel, Judaism and its history and people.
The concert included performances by Temple Jeremiah's own Cantor Zussman as well as Beth El's Cantor Larry Goller and the Beth El Chorale and Beth El Youth Chorale.
Decade of the 1910's
Over 150 people came to Temple Jeremiah for this annual favorite, as Cantor Amy Zussman, Rabbi Paul Cohen and accompanist David Lornson visited the music, headlines and nostalgia of the 1910's.
This was a decade of great change for America. World War I - the first “war to end all wars” - raged. Songs like “Over There,” “Pack Up Your Troubles” and “You Made Me Love You” were popular. It was the Ballroom Decade with dance floors installed in the trendier restaurants. Tobacco was a big business. The Titanic sank. The Model T rolled off the assembly line and Jim Thorpe, a native American, won Olympic gold medals. Altogether it was a decade to remember.
