 Purim
Celebration... "Annie"
Congregants celebrated Purim 5767 to the theme of the hit
musical, Annie. The day's events included:
 Fourth
Annual Shushan Shuffle 5K Run/Walk - Over 50 people
took part in this event, raising $1000 for SHALVA,
a local Jewish agency that helps victims of domestic violence
and abuse. Thanks to our sponsors - Netrix, Dominick's, Northfield
Police Department and Once Upon a Bagel - our volunteers and
our runners/walkers for their help in making this year's program
a success.
 Purim
Spiel - Our talented troupe of Jeremiah staff and
board members presented their own rendition of the Purim story
to the theme of "Annie", complete with greggers
and a reading of the Megillah.
Purim Carnival - Participants joined Annie,
Daddy Warbucks, Sandy and a cast of other colorful characters
for an afternoon of fun and games. It was anything but "a
hard-knock life" as participants sang Karaoke, bounced
on the Moonwalk, played games, redeemed tickets and enjoyed
lunch and treats. Proceeds from ticket sales supported our
Youth Department.
