Get Involved
This spring has been a busy time for Brotherhood. On April
12 we co-hosted a Health
Forum & Shabbaton. Focusing on Jewish genetic diseases,
the program featured Scott Weissman, a Licensed Genetics Counselor
at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare. Attendees learned about
genetic testing, communication issues when dealing with genetic
illness and resources available to victims and their families.
Many thanks go to Rabbi Greenberg for heading up this important
and enlightening event.
We will hold our annual "Break
the Fast Pizza Party" April 26 and plan to see many
congregants munching on pizza, salad, drinks and dessert at
no cost and enjoying good company, to boot. Social Chair Larry
Tracey did a great job planning this event and we're in-debted
to him for his hard work on this and many other programs.
All congregants are invited to our Annual
Brotherhood Shabbat on May 9. We're hosting a dinner at
6:30 pm at no cost to Jeremiah members and a service at 8:00
p.m. Contact Joel
Rovner to RSVP and let him know if you wish to participate
in the service.
Two other events will round out our spring 2008 programs.
On Sunday, May 18 at 11:00 am we'll hold our Annual
Hot Dog Lunch for Religious School students and their
parents. Mark your calendars now and plan on some great food!
We're also beginning to plan our Annual Golf Outing on June
6. Keep an eye out for more details as they become available.
