Outreach Events - Description |

"You're Welcome: A Discussion of Interfaith Issues
by B'nai Mitzvah Parents" Bar/Bat Mitzvah
is a special milestone for any family with a Jewish
child. Outreach presented a frank discussion on interfaith
challenges and opportunities facing Bnai Mitzvah
families and how to make family members and guests of
differing faiths feel comfortable and welcome at our
Bar/Bat Mitzvah services.
Our panelists - Kevin and Suzanne Callahan, Maria Hammer,
Richard and Pam Plonsker, Joan Reed, Trish Salk, Janice
Weinstein, Sandy Wagman and Bitsy Winograd - facilitated
by Lisa Baron, shared their experiences and ideas and
relayed the excitement of seeing their child go through
this rite of passage. Rabbi Cohen spoke about the specifics
of the ceremony and answered questions. He has a beautiful
blessing for non-Jewish parents to read. Thanks to mentor
and co-chairs Nancy Kessler, Lisa Levy, Susan Ardell
and Robyn Weissburg. |

Lights, Chanukah Nights" - Dreidels, Drinks & Drash
