We hope everybody enjoyed Pesach and the nice spring weather.
April kept Sisterhood quite busy! We had a beautiful Women's
Seder thanks to hard work by Rabbi Greenberg, Cantor Zussman,
Seder Chair Gayle Edmunds and the Seder Committee consisting
of Laurie Aines, Sherry Gamoran and Lisa Levy. We were blessed
so many past Sisterhood presidents could attend and we had
the opportunity to honor them and present them with Miriam's
cups.
We also thank Rabbi Greenberg, Brotherhood and the Caring
Community for the opportunity to partner with them on "Chicken
Soup for the Jewish Genes," a Health Forum &
Shabbaton focusing on genetic disorders affecting Jewish children
and adults.
Sisterhood Night
Out should be a blast. We will elect our 2008/09 officers
(mazel tov to all!), eat pizza and bowl at Pinstripes. We
look forward to more Nights Out next year.
To plan ahead, we held a focus group and discussed ideas,
concerns and thoughts on what we'd like Sisterhood to be.
Email Sisterhood
with your input.
We hope all Sisterhood members will attend our Closing
& Installation Dinner on June 24, rescheduled from
May 6. Please let Sisterhood
know if you are interested in a position (big or small) with
Sisterhood next year. We have lots of opportunities!
Gift Shop is busy with Passover
sales, graduation, teacher and Confirmation gifts, B'nai Mitzvah
stationery and other great items . Stop by and shop there
and at our Middle East booth during the fundraiser, “Passport
Jeremiah,” May 10.
We hope to see you and your friends at the Chai
Society program May 14. Help the temple purchase a compact
fire truck for Israel while enjoying lunch and fabulous music
by the New Horizons Band, Cantor Zussman and organist David
Lornson.
