Torah Portion - The question for Shabbat Yitro (February
5) is: "Why
do you think God chose to give The Ten Commandments to all
the people at the same time and not just have Moses relate
them to the people?" Find out the answer to this and
other questions at Torah Study.

The question for Shabbat Mishpatim (February 12) is: "God
commands Moses to come up Mount Sinai and write down The
Ten Commandments on stone tablets so they can be taught.
Why is it important to teach the Ten Commandments? Are the
Ten Commandments strictly for Jews or for all people?"

House of Worship
Sabbath
services at Temple Jeremiah are held every Friday evening
and Saturday morning.
The warmth of worship encourages enthusiastic
participation. Sermons, lectures, discussions, family worship
services and dinners are among the ways we greet the Sabbath
in the Rabbi Robert D. Schreibman
Sanctuary or the Joan and Stanley
Golder Chapel.
During the school year, Sunday morning activities for
adults include special programs, brunches, family worship,
guest lectures and book reviews. Bar/Bat
Mitzvah services are held Saturday mornings.
As a member of Temple Jeremiah, you are welcome to worship
with us throughout the year. See Worship
Services & Torah Study Schedule for dates

Torah of Our Own Project
The 613th commandment in the Torah is to "write a
Torah." As part of the temple's 50th anniversary celebration, congregants
have a chance to do just that ... to write in Temple Jeremiah's first
proprietary Torah Scroll.
Torah of Our Own promises to be one of the temple's most exciting events in
its 50 year history. Don't miss this opportunity to become part of this once-in-a-lifetime
spiritual and fundraising project.
Photos - All the scribing session and Opening Ceremony photos
can now be viewed and downloaded from our Shutterfly
web page.

Opening Ceremony - Our Opening Ceremony on October 18, 2009
