Purim Festivities
Temple Jeremiah hosted an action-packed day "Peter
Pan style." Our day's events included the temple's
first ever Annual Shushan Shuffle 5K Run/Walk, followed
by a Purim Spiel led by our staff and board members and
the popular Purim Carnival featuring Peter Pan, Wendy
and a host of other characters from Never Never Land.

Shabbat Across America
Temple Jeremiah joined over 750 synagogues nation-wide
for this program. Shabbat Across America is designed
to explain the rituals of the Sabbath in an easy-to-understand
manner. |

9th Annual Women's Seder
Sisterhood hosted a Seder from a distinctly feminine
perspective. Participants brought their candlesticks
and candles, as well as other meaningful objects, such
as seder plates and Kiddush cups, to illuminate the
Seder table with the symbols of their ancestral mothers
and grandmothers who played a large role in their Jewish
heritage. |

Shabbat
Temple Jeremiah families participated in a special

Erev Shabbat Service
Temple Jeremiah recently held a special Shabbat Service,
where we honored our outgoing Officers and Directors,
installed our new slate of Officers and Directors and
presented the 2004 Toddie
Gray and Diane Mary Katz Scholarship award. A reception
followed the service. |

Sukkot Celebration - "Pizza
in the Hut"
Our Erev Sukkot program included:"Pizza in the
Hut", dinner, Sukkah decorating, singing, dancing,
storytelling and praying. People of all ages took part
in our evening of celebration! |

Simchat Torah Celebration
Adults and children alike enjoyed a festive Simchat
Torah celebration, as members of the Maxwell Street
Klezmer Band and our own Temple Jeremiah members welcomed
Simchat Torah. Our program began with a family hot dog
dinner, followed by a Simchat Torah Service with Klezmer
Band members, followed by candy apples and other treats.

Erev Shabbat Service
& Installation of Rabbi Greenberg
Temple Jeremiah held a special Shabbat Service November
12 to install Rabbi C.
Michelle Greenberg as our Associate Rabbi. The sermon
was delivered by Rabbi Sheldon Marder, chaplain of the
Jewish Home in San Francisco and former director of
the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion's
Rabbinical School in Los Angeles, where Rabbi Greenberg
and other students were mentored. The Adult
Choir performed at services. A Gala Oneg Shabbat
followed. In addition, Rabbi Marder led the Torah Study,
Parashat Toldot, on November 13. |

Interfaith
Thanksgiving Service
This year's Interfaith Thanksgiving Service's speaker
featured Bob, Muzikowski, author of the book, Safe
at Home, which tells a story of what God will do
with a little trust and obedience, not only in the lives
of others but in our own as well. |

Shabbat/Chanukah Dinner and Service
Our Temple Jeremiah family celebrated Chanukah, beginning
with Dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Shabbat/ Chanukah
Service at 7:30 pm. Congregants brought their Family
Menorah as we lit the candles together. |
